I love pumpkins and especially the unusual ones. I’ve discovered that there are 42 variaties of pumpkins and the only ones I don’t like are the ones that are rotten on the vine. It’s lovely to see chidren of all ages attempting to carry their larger than life pumpkins after they’ve search the pumpkin patch for just the right one. It reminds me of Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin and just how sweet it is to expose kids to the pumpkin patch. There are several great places you can take your kids to either pick their own pumpkin right out of the patch like at Hillside Orchard in TIger, GA or out of a super stocked pumpkin bin such as Osages market.
I also love what the ladies of the Sky Valley Garden Club do each year with the Hay Bale Trail. Sure cute expressions on the pumpkins and the bales of decorated hay.
This picture of coffee and donut hay bale reminds me of the delicious donuts you can get at Farmhouse Donuts in downtown Clayton if you are coming up for a day in the Northeast GA mountians.
